Back from Sacramento International Sportsman Exposition

We’re back! Our trip to the CA Sacramento ISE was great. We met a lot of new people and saw clients that we have fished with for years. We are preparing for the Fred Hall Sportsman Show in Long Beach, March 7 – 11th.

We’ve been catching lots of steelhead and having a great year. Working every day has left little time for much else. I hope to have photos and stories of our steelhead adventures from this season posted very soon.

Tight lines and God Bless!!!!

Bass Fishing is FUN!!!

I took a couple fishing for Bass on the Umpqua near Elkton Saturday. It was a beautiful, sunny day. We all had fun fishing and enjoying what nature had to offer; turtles, bald eagles, osprey, and many other birds that provided that relaxing sound of nature. Here’s what she had to say about her experience:

FISH ON!!!  Boy, I had so much fun fishing with Richard. He knows his rivers like the back of his hand … maybe even better. I had trouble getting the right “twitch” when using the Bass Assassin, and didn’t pull in anywhere near the number of fish my more experienced husband did, but I still had SO much fun watching as they’d follow the bait, sometimes turning away and other times going in for a nibble. I had tons of nibbles. Richard had several fishing poles with different bait available for us to use. Peering over the side of the boat, watching a fish gobble up that purple worm … waiting for the yellow band to disappear before I set the hook. I got that tip from Richard who freely offered helpful suggestions to help us get the most out of our fishing trip. Feeling the pull on the line, I’d get SO excited … FISH ON!!! I’m not sure why, but I never knew my husband was reeling in a fish until he got it to the boat. For a guy who loves to fish, I would think he’d get more excited when he had a fish on the line. Oh, well, going fishing is fun … but going catching is the best with Rich guiding the way. I can hardly wait until it is Salmon season and we can go fishing with Richard again.
